I strongly suggest NOT to disassociate. That's playing their game. That's making it easy for them to put you in a box with a clear, easy to read label up to par with the average JW's intelligence. That will only invalidate you in other's eyes and, more importantly, cut you off from family. Trust me, 6 to 8 months is nothing. It will be past before you know it, but it can seem longer when you're younger. Wait it out, lay low, get your finances prepared for independence, move, then perhaps fade.

Struggling to Live a Lie
by Addison0998 init’s been very difficult, much more than i first anticipated to live a lie, (be pimo and a regular active member) i still live with my parents but i plan on moving out at the end of the year, so i really need to keep it together.
but i think people are starting to get suspicious that something is up.
i’ve stopped commenting, going on service all the time, talking at the door, and occasionally voicing something, such as a question that no one has a good answer for, that makes people think, but ahah, thinking is dangerous and wrong so that is suspicious of course.

Receiving so much hate recently....
by stuckinarut2 inwell, as you all know, my wife (unstuck) and i are not df or da.. we just stopped attending several years back after my "apostate" online activity was found by a nosey employee of ours while she was working in our office (long story if anyone wants to know - it would have to be another thread).
we never met with any elders - no congregation judicial activity occurred (as we would never consent to do so anyway).
so our policy has been to be the same kind, loving, normal people we have always been.

What about the kkk? Or the neo nazi’s? Or nambla?
Except all three of those are defunct and/or have no real central organization/authority. Yes, I do think JWs are the most deserving at this time of being exposed. They ruined far, FAR more many lives than Scientologists, who are mostly popular because of certain celebrities. They give an innocuous air to the public, or at the worst annoyance, but almost no one who hasn't lived it knows the constant emotional manipulation inflicted on willing members and their children, the often irreparable financial and psychological damage that extend for generations, the ex-JWs who probably outnumber those on the member roll by now, the many false prophecies and doomsday attitude coupled with suspicion and paranoia of the world, all while appearing at first glance to be loving, well adjusted, glazed-over happy people. I don't care if there are individuals who are worse than the average JW, especially if the general public already knows and is against them. Jehovah's Witnesses as an organization are definitely ripe for the picking.

by NikL ini am shaking all over right now.
i think it's worse that the bunker video.. i used to think there was no way that these people would actually "drink the cool aid" if you get my drift, but seeing this video i am now not sure it could never happen.. having a wife who i love dearly trapped in this cult is really freaking me out right now...

Did Kevin make a cameo this year?
He was among those encircling the JWs, weilding a stick and inexplicably sporting a headband.

That's still the same thing, "made available". I'm not sure if any station in their right mind would actually choose to use it. When there's a confirmed airing, then I'll be interested.

I've heard numerous people here say something like, 'The best revenge is living a good life'. Well, apparently the WT agrees, in the August study edition:
At times, people may
say unfair or critical things about us. We
may long for justice and wish that we
could do something to undo the damage
to our reputation.Yet,there is something
we can do. If someone spreads a lie about
us, we can live in such a way that no one
will believe that lie. Indeed, as Jesus’ ex-
ample shows, our personal record of up-
right Christian conduct can wipe out
half-truths and false accusations. -

Foetus baptism
by Fay Dehr infoetus baptism - surely coming to a watchtower study article soon?
jw parents are reminded of 2 ti.3:14,14 "from infancy you have known the holy writings".
and the watchtower explains the greek word bre'phos "infancy" as follows: "...it is generally used of an unborn child.

And if the baby DOESN'T respond positively to Kingdom Melodies while in the womb, that may be grounds for shunning it. No more rubbing or talking to your belly. Look the other way awkwardly when he/she comes out. Give it's bottle after you're done with dinner, so you won't be sharing a meal, etc.
They won't be able to get reinstated until they can write a repentance letter to the BOE, so at least til elementary school.

I just bought a John Deere 6130R tractor!
by silentbuddha inyou may be thinking, "so, what... it's just a tractor" right.
yes, it is just a tractor.
however, for me it was the last step in me actually realizing my dream of becoming a farmer.

Congratulations! I was born and spent part of my life in the south, and I love farms and rural culture, definitely where my heart is at. And when I heard your dream was to be a farmer, this is the first thing I thought of 😂:

I believe this is the first year without any real new releases. (The dramatic Bible reading and the Jonah video don't really count.) At least last last year they had the PDF for the new Bible story book, even though no physical copies. The year after that, last year, they 'released' the two part Jesus drama, but all that was was a hold over from the previous year.
So they're only 'releasing' the two videos everyone already knows about and that are listed in the program, yet they still keep it hush hush and pretend it's a big surprise? Then, after the dramas, the chairman says 'We are pleased to announce that the drama you just saw is now available for download!' . . . And then everyone has to clap, as if the audience wasn't even expecting it?!
